About Marian

In 1976, Marian's mother purchased “Willie”, a ventriloquist figure, from Maher Ventriloquism Studios in Colorado. After practicing the art of ventriloquism with her mother, Marian started venturing out on her own – performing at her church, for birthday parties, in school, and in local talent contests. Soon her mother and sister joined together to form the “Adam Family Variety Show”. The three of them played instruments, sang songs, and did ventriloquist skits. They performed together for many years.

During
Marian's college years, she used her character (“Willie”) for presentations
and during her student teaching assignments. She holds a Bachelors
Degree in Special and Elementary Education and a Masters
Degree in Elementary Education and taught in the Fleetwood (PA)
School District for eleven years. Throughout her teaching career, she
used puppets in her classroom to teach, entertain, and relate to her students. She and her husband live in Eastern Pennsylvania with their four children . |
